Homeless mums take over abandoned council estate

The 29 single mothers who make up the group, all aged under 25, last year won a case to be successfully re-housed in the area. They have since created a community centre on the estate, which is due to be demolished, and have no plans to leave.

Chris Lloyd went down to see how they have been settling in.




Is this another example of how the London Assembly and the government need to tackle the wider housing issue?
