'More defections to come' - UKIP politician
30th September 2014

Paul Oakley, Chair of UKIP for Greenwich and Lewisham, believes the defection of Conservative politicians to UKIP is a “big kick in the teeth for Boris Johnson and the party”.

Earlier in the week the Mayor of London described anyone who would consider leaving their political party for UKIP as “utterly nuts”. Oakley retorted that the mayor is “wrong about that and most other things”.

Editor of politics.co.uk, Ian Dunt, said that the pressure UKIP are placing on the Conservatives is providing a big problem for David Cameron ahead of the 2015 general election.
