Temporary bank closures, steam train 'extravaganzas' and huskies in a house fire.

It's all been kicking off this week. Phew! Can't believe the Standard missed it - our look at local reporting and the sillier side of the news. 

First up was the news - wait for it - that a bank had shut down. Not just any bank either, it was a Santander in Burnt Oak. Heady stuff.

If you can bear the excitement, a steam-themed extravaganza is kicking off at Kings' Cross. There'll be brass bands and steam-train experts galore. Pistons at the ready, folks.
