8th October 2014

Ghanaian Opera singer, Nino, is hoping to to challenge perceptions in the genre by infusing traditional opera with African beats.

Nino joined Claudia Liza Armah to discuss elitism in opera, building an audience in Ghana and and forging traditional rhythms with the great Romantic works.  Being raised in an opera loving household, Nino began performing in local churches.

Nino, a tenor, sings in seven languages and will be performing in London throughout this week.
