The Marathon man – a marathon a day for a year
14th October 2014

Rob Young, the Marathon Man, has committed to run at least one whole marathon every day for a whole year.

That is 26 miles every day for 365 days!

It’s all in aid of NSPCC, Dreams Come True and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

His choice of charities reflects his personal story: he was badly abused as a child. In is own words: “My father was a very abusive man and made my life (as well as my sister and mother) a living hell.”

He aims to raise money for and awareness of these charities.

He ran his normal morning marathon this morning and then an extra 6 miles to our High Street Kensington studios for this interview.

He has run over 190 marathons since he started in April and will reach the 200 mark on Friday 17th October.
