The 'other' pictures of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road
16th October 2014

Rare photographs of the Beatles crossing Abbey Road have emerged for sale.

The stills were rejected as possible album covers, released just months before they split in 1969.

They were taken by a close friend of John Lennon, who balanced on a ladder in the middle of the road for the shoot.

The photos are expected to fetch as much as 70,000 pounds at auction.
