Police in the capital have announced a new weapons amnesty will launch next week.
From Monday, anyone handing in a gun, or ammunition can take the weapons to a local police station, and hand them in anonymously.
This move by the Met police is to clear the streets of weapons, especially of the antique kind, to avoid them getting into the hands of gangs.
It’s been reported that gun crime in the capital is at it’s lowest for six years, with 300 guns being seized lat year.
The Met police have issued a map outlining the police stations where the amnesty is taking place.
