Christmas ads: love them or loathe them?

Christmas is the biggest time of year for retailers as so much of their profits are at stake. Retailers can make up to a third of their entire revenue during the festive season alone. 

Serge Vaezi, from  brand communications consultancy freuds, explains why retailers spend so much on their ads, whether they work and just why they’ve become so popular in recent years.
