Amazon launch always-listening ‘Echo’ speaker, Office free for iOs and Android and a robotic mouse
11th November 2014

Microsoft have announced they longer will be charging for their Office suite apps for iOs and Android, which used to cost £6 a month. It’s thought the move is a response to existing free apps which threaten their market share.

Amazon have built 'Echo', a wireless speaker permanently connected to the internet. It listens to any requests and will find answers, in much the same way Apple’s Siri does. San and Alex wonder whether this always-listening device from a tech giant might not be a little creepy.

San also chats about Mousr, a robotic mouse designed to play with cats. But, having seen what his cat does with real prey, San isn’t entirely convinced this is a solid investment.

We also hear about Pocket, an app that lets users store articles to read later, ad-free and without an internet connection.
