Career speed dating with the editor of Vogue and the wife of Nick Clegg
12th November 2014

A school assembly hall isn't where you'd normally expect to find the fashion world's biggest players spending their morning - but that's exactly what happened today at St Saviour’s & St Olave’s School in South London. It was part of networking event aimed at helping young girls achieve their career goals.

A whole host of famous faces were there including the editor of British Vogue, Alexandra Shulman, and Miriam González Durántez, Partner at law firm Dechert LLP and wife of the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.

The women took turns to do ‘career speed networking’, which consisted of them rotating round different tables answering questions and offering advice to the pupils.

They organization behind it, Inspiring the Future, hopes to encourage thousands of other women to join the Inspiring Women campaign and volunteer to pledge one hour a year to talk to girls in a state school near home or work about their life experience, job and career route.
