Unpaid Internships cost £926 a month
12th November 2014

Despite being illegal, many businesses throughout the country continue to take on unpaid interns.

New research from the Sutton Trust claims being an unpaid intern in London costs an individual £926 a month. Commentators say these findings demonstrate that only the wealthy can afford to take on unpaid work.

The research found a third of university graduates working as interns are unpaid.

Chris explains the difficulties associated with these internships and why those undertaking them deserve to be paid.
