Bottom’s Bench Replaced
14th November 2014

A bench matching the one that featured in the opening titles of the ‘Bottom’ has been replaced in Hammersmith.

Bottom was a comedy series that stared Ade Edmondson and the late Rik Mayall.

Seven thousand fans signed a petition to have a bench replaced as a tribute to Rik Mayall, who died this July at the age of 58.

The new bench has the word "In Memory of The Man, The Myth, The Legend" inscribed into the seat.

London Live's Simon Thompson gave his thoughts on the iconic bench.
