How the inflation rise will affect Londoners

Inflation rose to 1.3 per cent in October, up from 1.2 percent the previous month, according to the Office for National Statistics.

One reason this increase may have happened is being put down to seasonal factors.

This may also have a knock-on effect with businesses that at partly owned by the taxpayer, for example, Royal Mail.
