Pop-ups in Portobello
20th November 2014

This week food Thursday features a kitchenette on the Portobello docks in W10, which hosts short pop up residences.

Popping up for now is modern Bombay concept 'Pao Wow'.

The owner of the space, Cynthia, showcases a different concept every six weeks. She describes it as 'a bit like a theatre for food'.

Owner of Pao Wow, Anshu, says it's given her the confidence to get out there and own her own real restaurant.

Pao Wow is a modern take on traditional Mumbai food - Anshu took influences from her hometown and grandparents in both the design and taste.

Head chef Ruaridh cooked us up a storm in the kitchen with his favourite Bombay coconut fried chicken roll.

If you like what you see, get to the kitchenette before 29th November, and check out our London Eats playlist on YouTube.

Foodie Joey Bone joined us in the studio to discuss his favourite pop-ups to grab a bite.
