Soldado scores as London’s Premier League sides go unbeaten
1st December 2014

Evening Standard Sports Editor Tim Nichols joins us to recap the weekend’s sporting action.

There were important Premier League victories for both Arsenal and Tottenham as they overcame West Brom and Everton respectively.

He discussed whether Spurs striker Roberto Soldado can push on having broken his lengthy goal drought.

There were also crucial victories for Queens Park Rangers and West Ham in what turned out to be an unbeaten weekend for London’s top-flight sides, as Crystal Palace and league leaders Chelsea both drew away from home.

Meanwhile, England’s rugby team claimed victory in their final Autumn International with a gritty performance over Australia.

With the Six Nations and home-World Cup to come in 2015, the match was seen as hugely important for building momentum.
