A sort-of sneak preview of the Autumn statement
2nd December 2014

Although none of this will be confirmed until tomorrow, there are a few things expected ahead of the Autumn statement.

A few new projects are expected, including £150million regeneration of the Olympic Park, to turn part of it into a new centre for the arts, which will include a new V&A museum and two new university campuses.  It's expected this will create three thousand jobs and generate £3billion for the area.

It's also expected that £100million will be put towards creating a garden city at Ebbsfleet.

The London overground is expected to be extended to Barking riverside with the help of a £55 million loan.

Talking of rivers, it is thought £3billion will be spent on flood defenses, including at the Thames esturary.

The details will be known for certain tomorrow - these are simply our thoughts on the matter - so make sure to grab your popcorn and watch.
