Winterville, the icy jewel of Victoria Park
2nd December 2014

Squeezed in between the ice rink, spiegeltent, music and clubs, Jake Tupman explored Winterville in East London’s Victoria park.

The festivities were in full swing, following today's launch. The park has been reimagined as a town, complete with Town Square, Market Place and Downtown areas.

Free to enter, Winterville does charge for many of the attractions on show, which include cabaret, a ferris wheel, roller disco, horse-and-carriage rides and events like The Gay Bingo Christmas Show.

If none of that appeals, there’s always the hot cider bar - which we suspect Jake got to know better after the show. There is also the pleasingly punny "Bar Humbug" to watch out for.

Jake Tupman made the most of the Bizzare Bazaar.

Winterville also offers the chance to enjoy some hot cider, as Jake Tupman discovered.
