Meet World Boxing European Champion Mitchell Smith

He went into the biggest fight of his life last week,  and he came out with a new belt and a new title.

Undercard ex-Bushey Boxing Club fighter Mitchell Smith, stole the show and was named the World Boxing super-featherweight European Champion.

From the tender age of 6, he took up the sport. He even told his teacher at that age he would be a world champion, and he is week on his way.

As a schoolboy he would use his the boxing ring to vent out is personal issues describing it as a ‘release from problems at school.’

Born and raised in Harrow, he won his first fight at the age of 11,managing to push on to   winning numerous junior titles. Now, at age 22, he is at the top of his game and aims to carry on setting himself new challenges.

He joined Headline London to talk though his career so far and how he took the title.
