Londoners get ratty over renting

A new study claims that renters in the capital make twice the number of complaints about rats than the national average.

nd that’s not all, with over 4 million Londoners paying private landlords, results show bathroom and toilet woes topped the list of problems for Londoners.

Tower Hamlets came out as the borough with the most gripes with nearly 5000 maintenance requests, taking up 10.9 per cent of the total.

Merton came a close second with just over 10 per cent. Southwark, Wandsworth and Lambeth all made the top 5.

Rajeev Nayyar, TenantRepair who carried out the research, spoke to London Live.

We asked Londoners if they had any complaints about their homes, here’s what they had to say.
