Bar owner takes exception to homophobic email, posts wonderful response

Alex Proud spoke to London Live over a webcam to discuss why he responded to the email the way he did, why he doesn't think it's right to name and shame and how a glass of wine saved him from saying anything more provocative. 

A car brand emailed to ask if Proud Camden was a gay venue as homosexuality is "against some people's religions… so we will need to make them aware.” They also asked if they would have their own seating area.

Proud responded by telling them that their party would be cancelled, adding that the venue was "pretty gay”, sarcastically listing “Gay drinks, gay food, gay loos etc….”
