It may not have been England vs Germany, but it was almost as competitive.

The Army Crusaders took on a UK Parliament XI in a football match to commemorate the 1914 Christmas truce, where both the Germans and the British put the fighting on hold, came out of the trenches and played football.

Played out in at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in front of a partisan crowd from various primary schools, the match was a surprisingly one-sided affair.
