London councils rake in the parking fine profits

The top five councils in England when it comes to making money on parking fines are all in London.

A survey carried out by the motoring charity the RAC Foundation, puts Westminster in first place taking £51 million last year.

Kensington and Chelsea were placed second taking more than £33 million.

Closely followed by Camden, Hammersmith and Fulham and Wandsworth making between £19 and almost £25 million each.
