London house prices fall £30K in a month

Figures released show a national decline in house prices as new sellers are less optimistic about what prices they can achieve.

House prices in London fell by more than £30,000 last month. An online property site suggests the average home in Greater London now sells for £570,000.

It has been recorded that this is the largest ever monthly fall nationwide of new properties coming onto the market, with a 3.3 per cent decrease.

Miles Shipside from Rightmove, the firm behind today's research told London Live the factors that contribute to the dips in prices.
