The most Googled searches in 2014

Today, Google release their most searched for topics and people for this year.

‘Who is Banksy?’ was the most searched-for person by UK surfers, apparently and the Celebrity Big Brother contestant ‘Frenchy’ and N-Dubz singer Dappy both got more searches than ISIS.

Globally, the most searched for person was Robin Williams, the actor who died earlier this year.

Now the searches were broken down into cities and types of searches as well, so here is what the UK searched for.

Ebola was the top news story of the year, followed by ALS which was inspired by the Ice Bucket Challenge which aimed to promote awareness of the neurodegenerative disease.

The Evening Show discuss what they Googled over the previous year and go over the latest figures.
