Russian Rouble on the rise

The Russian rouble is beginning to rise again after a disastrous few days. Though the rise is only very slight, it should mark the start of the Russian recovery. The rouble fell to its lowest ever level against the dollar only a few days ago.

 
The weak rouble is good news for holidaymakers who want a cheap trip to Russia – as Simon Calder explains.

The ONS will release the sales data to show what the impact of Black Friday on the high street. It was the first time the event was truly embraced by Britons and its expected sales will have risen 0.4%. While this may not sound like a lot, it is a much-needed boost after a disappointing summer.
 
It’s now thought Black Friday is a bigger shopping event than Boxing Day.
