Elton John marries

After 21 years together the pop singer Elton John and his partner David Furnish tied the knot, having been in a civil partnership for nine years.

 
Celebrity friends such as Hugh Grant and the Beckham family joined the celerations. The ‘Rocketman’ singer posted live updates of the ceremony on Instagram.
 

The Wealdstone Raider ‘got no fans’

The Wealdstone Raider has officially gatecrashed the singles chart as he reaches number 5 in the race to be number one this Christmas.

The football supporter turned YouTube star has released the single ‘Got No Fans.’ It is part of a campaign to stop Simon Cowell’s record company SyCo from earning the top spot. All the proceeds are going to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
 

Billie Whitelaw dies

She was described as the ‘perfect actress.’
 
Billie Whitelaw, famous for her work on the screen and stage, has died at the age of 82.
 
She died in the early hours of Sunday morning at a nursing home in London and was best known for her role as Mrs Baylock in The Omen, and as Violet Kray in the The Krays.
