A rubbish truck that lost control on a busy shopping street in Glasgow has killed 6 in a crash. It is thought the driver was taken ill when the lorry hit a pedestrian, which then mounted the pavement and drove into shoppers on the street.
Eight people are in hospital being treated for their injuries, the cause of the crash is still being investigated. It happened George Square in the city centre, where the Christmas lights have been in turned off in tribute.
