Premier League January transfer window preview: QPR

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp is known for being one of the most active Premier League managers during transfer windows, but with a limited budget this time around he may struggle to attract the players he wants to Loftus Road.

Although striker Charlie Austin has been in fine form, Johnson expects Redknapp to look to add another forward, with two of his former players, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane, at the top of his list.

There could be a number of departures from the west London club, with the likes of Adel Taarabt, Rio Ferdinand and Sean Wright-Phillips having been completely frozen out of the first team.

Getting these high-earning individuals off the wage bill could be the key to the R’s attracting some quality additions in January.
