Giant banana at Go Ape helps raise £60,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust

Writer and blogger Rich Patrick and London Live's Toby Earle take a look at the funniest, strangest and most adorable local news that perhaps didn't get the coverage it deserved.

This week, they discuss an animal petting event put on by Whitton charity Porridge and Rice.

The panel also chat about an Uxbridge Indian chef given an award by Curry Life magazine - but not for his work in the kitchen.

And finally, the heartwarming story of a Go Ape event that helped raise £60,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust, where giant banana costumes helped win the day.

There is also news of breaking world records on a space hopper.
