‘Young motherhood’ exhibition to challenge misconceptions of young mothers

London-based photographer and film-maker Jendella Benson is hoping to challenge negative stereotypes and misconceptions about young mothers with a new exhibition.

At a special viewing of her “Young Motherhood” exhibition at the House of Commons launched, London Live spoke to Ms Benson to find out what perceptions she hopes to change and why.

The viewing allowed MP's and policy makers to hear from and interact with young mothers first hand, for a face-to-face discussion of what issues young mums face and what support is needed.
