Adebayo Akinfenwa: attention after Liverpool goal “mind-boggling”

AFC Wimbledon's Adebayo Akinfenwa says the goal he scored against Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup has attracted far more attention than he ever imagined, which has been “mind boggling”.

Adebayo sat down with London Live to discuss how the goal has changed not only his professional career, but his personal life too. Some changes have been positive - he’s now friends with pop stars - and some have been less good, as he says he is now occassionally interrupted by strangers while trying to enjoy Nando’s.

He discusses what his hopes are for Wimbledon and why he is focussing on helping others achieve their goals too.
