Centre Point renovations at Tottenham Court Road

Work begins today to revive Centre Point tower in Tottenham Court Road.

The Grade II listed tower will be developed with 82 new apartments. It is also hoped there will be a new retail and restaurant opportunities too.

Development director Kathrin Hersel joined Headline London to discuss the work, which begins after three years of planning.

She explains what will be done as part of the large scale regeneration which is transforming the area.

Ms Hersel also addresses the objections some have raised to parts of the surrounding area becoming pedestrianised.
