Eve Myles: "I rugby tackled my child into my husband's arms and got on the train" for her Broadchurch audition

Eve Myles, who plays Claire Ripley in hit TV drama Broadchurch, sat down with London Live's TV Editor Toby Earle and explained how she had been "such a fangirl" of the show and why she was happy to give up a planned break after giving birth to land a role in the show.

She explained to Toby how she was inducted into the world of Broadchurch after producers had sought her out for the role.

"They sent me two scenes," she said, "No description of the character... and a direction from the director which was 'Use your instinct.'"
