Dave Matthews Band named as BluesFest headline act

London’s annual BluesFest is headed to the O2 arena this year and will celebrate the change of venue with headline act the Dave Matthews Band.

London Live’s Entertainment Producer Simon Thompson sat down with Festival Director, Leo Green, who said the festival was delighted to host the band, who rarely perform in the UK: “I can’t say how thrilled we are.”

Explaining their appeal, Leo said: “He defines quality. Every person in that band is top of their game - it’s almost like a musical supergroup.

“When they’re together, there’s no band like them.”

Leo also told Simon how the festival had changed since its days in the Union Chapel and Oxford's Street 100 club.

This year, BluesFest will take place from the 6th to the 8th of November at the O2 Arena, Greenwich.
