Snow In Paradise: a story that needed to be told

Snow In Paradise is a gritty new British film set in the East End, but it’s far from typical.

It follows the story of a petty criminal who thrives on drugs and violence. When his actions lead to his best friend being murdered, Dave is propelled into feelings of shame and converts to Islam.

Martin Askew co-wrote and stars in the film, said “It was a story that we felt needed to be told.”

The film opens in London cinemas this weekend. He sat down with London Live’s Entertainment Producer Simon Thompson about the film and why he got involved, saying: “We felt: ‘this is quite a unique idea.’”
