Brian the police horse almost had his ‘sissy’ named changed

Men called Brian have been celebrating everywhere this weekend as a police horse keeps the name.

The horse’s name was considered to bee too ‘sissy’ for such a noble beast, towering at 6ft.

The horse is part of Thames Valley Police, who were apparently considering more ‘war-like’ names such as Hercules or Caesar.

This triggered a campaign by Brians over the country to put pressure on them to make to keep their name.

The force took notice of the protests and have since made a U-turn on their decision and the police horse is now called Brian.

One famous Brian, Brian Belo of Big Brother said, “this is a victory for Brians everywhere.”

"I think it's a marvellous name for a horse, it's a friendly name, you would want to be kept safe by a Brian."
