See in the year of the sheep with the Lion Dance

Ahead of the big Chinese New Year celebrations on Sunday, London Live are previewing the Lion Dance, a traditional dance which sees those celebrating dance in a lion costume and mimic the movements of the big cats.

The dance is almost always included in any Chinese New Year celebrations and features elaborate costumes under which two dancers perform their routine.

This weekend the thousands of Londoners out in the streets celebrating Chinese New Year will be welcoming in the year of the sheep.

London Live will broadcast all the colour, music and action from Trafalgar Square and across the capital in a live special programme on Sunday: Live from London: Chinese New Year.
