Londoners are being held back by cripplingly slow broadband speeds - that's the warning in a new report.
The House of Lords Select Committee on Digital Skills found the capital has dropped to 26th place in the league table of European capitals when it comes to download speeds.
The group behind this 144-page report, The Digital Skills Committee, was appointed last summer to look at information and communications technology, competitiveness and skills in the UK.
They’ve released this report entitled "Make or Break: The UK's Digital Future" which Committee chair Baroness Morgan hopes will be taken as a “call to action”.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson has responded to the report saying he agrees that more must be done to improve access to superfast broadband in London. And that he wants every corner of the capital to have access to the best possible digital connectivity.
