Martial arts: a window to Chinese culture

Chinese New Year is here, with London celebrations taking place in Chinatown on Sunday. In the run-up to the event, London Live has been showcasing the best of Chinese culture in the capital.

We meet martial arts instructor Jeffrey Alexander-Sutherland, who runs a programme focusing on health and self-defence.

Disciplines include Tai Chi, Chi kung, Shaolin and Wing Chun Kung fu.

Jeffrey and his class will be performing at Trafalgar Square Sunday.

London Live will broadcast all the colour, music and action from Trafalgar Square and across the capital in a live special programme on Sunday: Live from London: Chinese New Year.
