Kevin Spacey on the red carpet for House of Cards

At 8.00am on Friday February 27th 2015 untold numbers of calls were made to bosses claiming illness, plumbing disasters, or the Ferris Bueller stratagem of dead grandmothers.

At 8.01am those callers then began to feast upon the third series of House of Cards on Netflix, with all thirteen episodes released at once to consume the entire weekend.

Our TV editor Toby Earle was on the red carpet for the world premiere launch of the third series in Leicester Square, the event in aid of The Old Vic Theatre Trust, and he spoke to showrunner Beau Willimon and the Emmy-award winning drama’s leads Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

During the interview Willimon talks about his influences on the show’s drama and if Frank and Claire Underwood were to meet a specific relative in London, while Spacey reveals whether Underwood is the kind of person who, one day, might let his finger hover above the big red button.
