Unpaid overtime worth £9,000 a year to Londoners

Nearly 900,000 workers in the capital worked unpaid overtime last year, according to trade union TUC.

It’s calling on employers to ensure staff don’t work excessively long hours and to take lunch breaks.

Unpaid overtime was worth around £9,000 to individual workers last year, amounting to £8bn.
