Hike in prisoner suicides condemned

A new report out today has condemned last year's sharp rise in prisoner suicides. 

The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman called the figures "unacceptable" and said there were a number of lessons to be learnt from the 64 per cent increase in self-inflicted deaths.
