London remembers servicemen and women of Afghanistan

Commemorations are under way in the capital to mark the end of operations in Afghanistan. 

At the peak of the campaign the UK military had 9,500 troops and 137 bases in Helmand Province. 

Alex Askew was one of troops serving in the RAF Regiment in 2007.
