London tops list of cases for animal cruelty

London has topped the list in the amount of cases of animal cruelty.

New figures have revealed that in 2014, the capital had more than 12,000 cases of reported animal cruelty - far above the second highest area - West Yorkshire, which had only 8,000.

Not only that, but a large number of cases were not just neglect, but acts of cruelty.

Esther Lincoln, an inspector for the RSPCA, explains more.
