Bulldozed Maida Vale pub to be rebuilt ‘brick-by-brick’

A pub that was unexpectedly bulldozed in Maida Vale has to be rebuilt following a ruling by Westminster Council.

The 1920s Carlton Tavern was knocked down by its current owners on April 8.

Last night the planning chairman of the council described the demolition as an act of “vandalism”.
