A year in the life of a young London councillor

It’s been one year since the London local elections.

Last year, we followed four young people hoping to be their areas' local councillors.

Mabel Ogundayo, who ran for a Labour seat in the ward of Thamesmead East, managed to get elected in to Bexley Council.

Since then she’s been busy. After the housing association Peabody took over one of the estates in her ward, Mabel has helped to rehouse almost 50 families whose homes were to be demolished.
