Boris Johnson’s rental standard scheme ‘failing Londoners’

It was supposed to be Boris Johnson's solution to protecting tenants in the capital but today his London rental standard scheme has been branded a flop.

A year after its launch, only 14,000 of the capital’s 300,000 private landlords have signed up.

Is the voluntary scheme designed to drive up standards in private renting failing Londoners?

Labour London Assembly member Navin Shah explains more.

Richard Blanco from the National Landlords Association also shared his views on the situation.
