Female cyclists dies after Denmark Hill crash

A female cyclist has died in hospital after being hit by a lorry in south London.

The woman, thought to be in her 30s, is the sixth person to die on London’s road this year.

She was taken to Kings Cross Hospital following the crash in Denmark Hill during yesterday morning’s rush hour.

Yesterday saw carnage on London’s roads as another female cyclist was also killed in Walton-on-Thames following a multi-vehicle crash.

A male unicyclist was also rescued after becoming trapped under the wheels of a bus in Walthamstow.

Five of the six cyclist killed this year have been women, and all of the collisions have involved HGV lorries.
