‘London council’s should sell more assets’

London councils own 39 golf clubs, 67 farms and 67 restaurants, according to new figures.

A freedom of information request by the Taxpayers Alliance shows that London’s authorities owned nearly 1,500 shops - more than anywhere else in the country. 

The group claim this land could be better used in other ways, like housing.
