‘The Government must continue to fund theatres’

The Artistic Director of the National Theatre, Rufus Norris, has said the government needs to continue to fund theatres if the UK is to continue being a world leader in the arts.

This comes directly after British theatres, including The National Theatre, swept the board at the Tony Awards ceremony in New York on Sunday night.
